* Sometimes karma kicks you in the butt.
For example, I wouldn't recommend proclaiming to the world that you despise any bed smaller than a king. Because you just might go away with your husband one weekend, and walk into your hotel room, and see this:
* Sometimes in life, it's acceptable to lie.
For example, if your super friendly server who seems to have really taken a liking to you and your husband asks "Is today your anniversary?" I would recommend to just lie and say "Why, yes! Yes, it is! How did you know?"
Because she just might come back to your table with this:
* Sometimes I like to make rides more fun for other people.
For example, we boarded the Splash Mountain ride. McDaddy and I were in the front row. The rest of our boat was filled with Disney fanatics that I had been quietly observing while we were all in line. And when I saw them putting on their ponchos before we boarded the boat, I knew what must be done:
I was all: "This ride doesn't have any big drops, does it? Why are you guys wearing ponchos?" ...you know, just to mess with them.
And they are all: "Hee hee!! Have you never been on this ride before?"
And I'm all "No! I'm scared!"
Which made them positively giddy with excitement.
Because there is nothing a Disney fanatic loves more than being a know-it-all about the ride.
And then afterwards, they are all "Did you like it? Did ya? Were you scared with the big drop? You didn't know that was even coming, did you? HA!! I knew it was coming and I was watching your face and you looked SO FREAKED OUT!!! ha ha ha ha!!"
And while I'm all "You guys didn't tell me about that drop! You totally got me!" and I'm watching the smug expression on their faces.....inside I'm giddy with excitement because one Disney fanatic just trumped another Disney fanatic. I guess that makes me a Disney superfanatic. Or superfreak. Whatever.
* The Lightening shirt......we have a winner! I am sending this shirt onto POW participant #77....CaraDee's Boring Adventures!!
*Sometimes when you hold a t-shirt up in front of you and you are wearing shorts, it looks like you aren't wearing anything at all.
Which is just provocative and wrong to do in front of Cinderella's castle. But oddly enough, your husband doesn't tell you it looks provocative and wrong.
He just snaps the pic and is all "Ok, done. Can we go to Space Mountain now?"
And you are clueless to the provocative and wrongness of it all.....until you get home and download your pics.

LOVE, Love, love it!!! In one week I'll be in the Magic Kingdom... if hubby gets me an iphone before we go we'll be twittering away with all the stuff we're doing!!! I loved the idea you had of doing that. Hubs was waiting for EVERY tweet you did.... he couldn't wait for the next!!!
Oh, and I'm wondering.... did you each sleep in your own bed???
I totally love that you trumped the ginormous Disney fans - you know you made their day! So glad you & McDaddy were able to get away for a while... I live vicariously through you until we can manage to do the same.
So what was your favorite international cocktail?
Look at you, lookin' all McMILFy in front of the castle. Sacrilege!
Nice job on the double-agent punking of the Disney fanatics. Bet THAT's not listed in the "Insider's Guide".
girl i love me some disney .and there is no shame in a)getting a free dessert and b) looking naked in front of the castle.
all disney fanatics are freaks. c'mon, it's why disney is so much fun!
You have made me nostalgic for DisneyLand, and that is something I never thought could be done.
I hope you two slept in separate beds. I totally would have.
P.S. Today is my ACTUAL anniversary, and I have yet to see a surprise dessert. So props to you.
Looks like you went to the Donna Reed Hilton Express. ;) I love Disney too and have played the exact same game with people.
we always say it's someones birthday when at disney. (bad mommy!)
i love your splash mountain super-freak disney fan story. very funny. i might have to steal that idea when i go next time!
Great, now i'm a lair and i steal. Oh Man! Have a good sunday :)
Clearly you are new at the king size bed game, because once you are really used to it, you CHECK AHEAD of time on any hotel reservations what size bed they are offering.
And you might just cancel that reservation with the little beds....
And go to some other town completely, with king size beds. It could happen.
haha love it! Im glad you had a good time!!!
So did y'all McSnuggle up together in one of those beds or each take a bed of your own? Oh wait, I think I guess the answer that from you post last week! HA!
That is funny about the pic with the t-shirt...
Okay hubby and I are jealous!!! I can't go to Disney just yet (bun in the oven and all!) but my husband has NEVER been there! I can't wait to be a SuperFanatic and tug him all over the place!!!
My fave is the roller coaster Space Mountain!
So glad you and hubby had a good time. I will completely be using the anniversary ploy to get a free Disney dessert next time!
This post is the perfect end to my perfect Sunday!
I'm glad you had such a great time and loved hearing your discertation of life lessons from Disney!
DH and I can't deal with a hotel room that has anything less than a king! Before you know it, even that will seem small (years and years ago, the first night we slept in our king, I felt so far away from him - now, it's still too close!!!).
Glad you had a great time!
haha! so true. I've learned to always say its your anniversary or even better...your honeymoon if the kids aren't around. Sometime you get some pretty cool perks!
Your hubby deserves a high five! haha. Keepin' it real. Saying you got a pic of your wife half naked at Disney gives you total bragging rights.
You are McFunny with a capital M. So where did McDaddy sleep?!
This is all so...so sudden.
BAAHAHAHAHAHA First, I have to say that I have a king size bed. Snuggling in a full size is NO fun if one of the snugglers SNORES so frickin loud you can sleep.
I want to go on a Disney ride with you!
By the way, that deleted comment from Chuck was really me logged in as my husband. Yea, I'm lame.
Oh, I am so pea green with envy!! Your legs are so gorgeous, oh, and the trip to Disney sans kids, to. die. for.
Looks like you guys had a great time - you sneaky Disney Superfan you.
Em
I'm actually going in May and reading your tweets and this made me more excited about going. I love Disney.
My bewbs touched that shirt. Just sayin'.
Glad you had a great vacay!
My parents turned up on their honeymoon to find they had a room with twin single beds. My DH always double checks because of that. LOL.
Great job with the t-shirt. Have tweeted your post. :)
Hi McMommy - just dropped by to let you know YOU won the 2008 Travelling T-Shirt competition. Sorry, got delayed in letting you know with Christmas and summer holidays and all. Anyway, I need you to contact me with paypal details so I can forward on your prize.
Also, did the shirt get passed on to Cara Dee. It seems to have vanished and I'm not sure who's supposed to have it right now.
Ta and thanks for playing.
