I did it for all moms everywhere.

I don't even know if this story is going to count as a true Make Me Laugh Monday post for everyone.

I mean, I certainly WASN'T laughing when the girl with the amazing body in the itsy-bitsy string bikini came sauntering by the pool.

The family pool, may I add. Where mothers like me are gathered, watching our kids play in the water. Mothers, like me, whose bodies have been dragged through the hills of pregnancy and the valleys of delivery and the trenches of motherhood. Yet we are a happy bunch. We are content with ourselves...sitting there comfortably covered in our tankinis at the family pool. We know these are not the bodies we were given...but the bodies our children gave to us. We understand.

String Bikini then chose to set her towel down just two chairs away from mine.

No, this is still not funny.

String Bikini then turns around to adjust her chair.

This would be the part of the story where I change String Bikini's name to G-String Bikini.

And this is not even a "She should SO not be wearing a G-String" type of g-string girl. Nooooo, this girl was made to wear g-strings. G-strings were probably invented because of her.

And now she's sitting two chairs away from me.

Oh this is just fantastic.
My "I housed two babies in two years" belly is certainly not laughing. Neither is my "should never wear a g-string bikini" backside.

McDaddy suddenly has a neck disorder. As does every other father...as they are craning their necks to see if G-String Bikini is real or if she is a poolside mirage.

Someone buy them a lotto ticket.
It's their lucky day: she's real.

But in my humble opinion, REALLY not bright. I mean, come ON.....if I looked like that, would I choose to layout by the family pool? No way! I'd be high-tailing it to the adult pool and/or hot tub and ordering 2 pina coladas on my way there!

I wondered to myself if she was really expecting a relaxing poolside tanning session here.

Just then, Carter starts cranking up. Oh boy. He's not happy. He wants the sunscreen bottle I just took away from him.
I hand him some pretzels instead--he tosses them. I give him a toy--he pushes it away. His cry gets progressively louder and louder and louder. He is having an all-out, full-blown temper tantrum.

I was about to pick him and walk away.....I didn't want to disturb the other guests. But as I glanced around, the other moms looked unfazed.

G-string Bikini, however, looks thoroughly annoyed.

It was at that moment that I decided to do all us moms a favor.

I let Carter throw his little tantrum right there...making all sorts of racket and commotion. Neither peacefulness nor relaxation was anywhere to be found in our vicinity.

The noise level was deafening to G-String Bikini's ears. She was cracking.

G-string Bikini suddenly stands up, gathers her stuff, and takes off in a huff towards the adult pool.

It was then that I started laughing.

And I could be mistaken....because my ears were still ringing from Carter's scream-a-thon......but I could have sworn I heard the other mothers say "thank you!" under their breath.......

That is Hysterical!!! And, I am so glad you let Carter through his little fit!

Is she an idiot or what?

Obviously. Even if her body was meant for a g-string bikini, GOOD LORD, she shouldn't wear that anywhere other than her own pool!

Nobody needs to see that parading around.

Way to go McMommy!! I think you did it for WOMEN everywhere! :)

HA!! OMG, LOL!!!! That is a great story!

How completely inappropriate of G-String Girl to even think it was OK to show her naked backside to a bunch of children!! That infuriates me. Was she not aware that it was a family pool?? Carter broke out just in time though, didn't he? Hurray for Carter! It is just so thoughtless of her, and so smart of you to let him scare her away! I just can't wait till she has children...

Thanks for the laugh!

This is too funny!! I can picture the whole scenerio in my head!!! Good for you for letting Carter throw his tantrum right by her!!! Serves her right for bringing her non-baby having body to the family pool to parade it around!!!

By far the best story of my week!!!

This is a truely a Make Me Laugh Monday story.
Yea McMommy!!
You defeated Miss G-String without batting an eye.
Great job!

That is too true. I am now a lover of the tankini or anything that gives extended coverage. (Is a tummy tuck really a vanity operation, or a two-kid necessity?)

Good for you!

WOOT!!!! That is the best thing ever! I mean, please, who needs to field questions from their little kids about "why is the lady not wearing any bottoms on her bathing suit?" I hope you gave Carter a cookie after his fine performance!

Too Funny! GREAT job! I think after you have your last kid that the doctor should throw in a free tummy tuck. After all we women go through to have the kid(s)!

The Mom said...

I would have SO bought you a drink for that, thank you from granny-panty, shorts, by the pool wearing moms everywhere!

Great idea....using your kid as a weapon of mass destruction. I never thought about turing it into a positive. I'm gonna try it out.

Heather said...

You mean that now that I have had two kids I can't wear my g-string bikini to the public pool?! Just Kidding. Thank you for putting husbands everywhere out of their "misery"!!:)

Oh heck yeah that's funny!

On behalf of moms everywhere, I thank you. I'd even tell you how cute you look in your non-G-string bathing suit.

...I might even wash your car.

*air kiss* Thanks McMommy! *air kiss*

I loved this story but am I the only one who gets inspired to work out harder when she sees a G-string bikini? Ladies, our bodies may be reflecting a temporary result of childbirth, child-rearing, and lack of sleep, but let's face it, we are all jealous. We should use this jealousy to fuel a mid-year resolution...or should I say revolution? GET IN SHAPE MOMMIES? Is anyone with me here? I know I want my flat abs back, and I intend to reclaim them! This story would be way worse if G-string bikini was a newborn mother. Then I'd really hate her.

Lisa said...

You deserve a medal for that one, honey! I hope she gets many a stretch mark on that toned body of hers if she ever has kiddos!

MommyTime said...

Good for you. I am sure all the other mothers were thanking you.

And while I agree with Cameron that such a sight might be an inspiration to work out more, I am quite sure that I will never look good in a suit like that because even at my college-level hottest, I couldn't pull that off. And I'm too much of a prude to sport the g-string anyway...

Um, No Cameron, McMommy's story of G-String Girl does not make me jealous or want to work out. I'm tired. I've worked out. For 15 years. I modeled swimwear for 6 of them.

My 103 lb. body, flat hard stomach, and full C breasts, (people actually thought they were fake, they were so perfect), are gone.

Don't get me wrong, I still weigh 103 lbs. and fit into my old jeans and all that. But, the hard, flat stomach has been replaced with a soft stomach. One that has lost all elasticity, this happens after two children have called your uterus home for 9, 10 months. No number of crunches will bring that back. And my beautiful full C's are now small B's, which some might say resemble deflated balloons. This happens after nursing for 2 years.

But you know what? I don't want to go back. I am very happy with my body. I think I have the most beautiful body in the world. I think it is more beautiful now than it ever was. It produce my two gorgeous children.

And on any given day, ANY MOTHER'S body is more beautiful and more perfect that any G-string clad non-mother. Hands down.

"Not sure if this story would count as a true Make Me Laugh Monday post"....HELLO? It is hysterical! I love this story. I love the way you told the story. I just wish I could've been there with you. Way to go Carter! I think he should get a new toy, or ice cream or something for that performance. From all moms everywhere...Thank you!!!

Hell. to the. YEAH!
You are my personal hero, McMommy! what was she doing over there anyway?? Trying to mack on some Daddy meat?

And well said M&M&M. I'm in the best shape I've ever been in right now - high school included - but I still don't get inspired by a G-string body outside of my weight training class. Poolside is where I'm only now learning to feel halfway comfortable for the first time in my life. A Perfect G-string encounter would set this self-concious girl back quite a bit! I guess I still have some work to do...

Way to go!! In my book you treated her kindly... she was BEGGING for an "oops-did-I-just-spill-my-slurpee-all-over-you?!" moment!

Wawa said...

I LOVE IT! Unfortunately she sounds like she looks like my sister in law who by some freak of nature HAS two kids so I can't get rid of her so easily. I know she will always be near me at family/pool events. what sucks is she's actually a nice person - just likes teeny tiny bathing suits and is a size 0!
